A special event – Two donkeys (Kevin and Rosie) carried lightweight book-boxes containing unwritten books to be read. The artists were also present interviewing people about their unwritten books.
Cheltenham Festival of Literature
9–17 October
Book-boxes were situated in the Festival Tent and Cheltenham Central Library throught the event. The artists were also present, collecting books from various locations in the town on Saturdays 9 & 16 October 2004.

Curatorial team B&B (Sarah Carrington & Sophie Hope) hosted an informal discussion with Caroline Jupp & Sam Brown and Portsmouth 'unwritten' authors about the Library of Unwritten Books.
Host venues organised recording sessions with community groups and individuals. Over 200 books were collected at the following locations:
